Cambodia Casinos

There is a captivating background to the Cambodia casinos that sit just across the border from next door Thailand, where gambling hall betting is prohibited. Eight gambling halls are anchored in a relatively small space in the municipality of Poipet in Cambodia. This conclave of Cambodia gambling halls is in an excellent spot, a three to 4 hour trip from Bangkok and Macao, the 2 most popular gambling locations in Asia. Cambodia casinos do a huge business with Thai workers and visitors from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with just a few Westerners. The amazing income acquired from the gambling dens ranges from 7.5 million dollars to more than 12.5 million dollars, and there are a couple of restrictions constraints for gambling den ownership. Ownership is required to be mostly Thai; still, investment sources are vague. The borders are officially open from 0900 to 1700, and even though visas are apparently required to cross, there are ways around this, as is accurate of many border crossings.
The first Cambodia gambling dens opened in Phnom Penh in 1994, but were forced to close in the late nineties, leaving just a single gambling den in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a stationary bateau gambling hall, features 150 one armed bandits and sixty gaming tables. The Naga river boat never closes with 42 tables of mini-baccarat chemin de fer, four tables of twenty-one, ten of roulette, 2 of Caribbean Stud Poker, and a single table each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.
The initial casino in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, premiered in the late nineties and the Golden Crown soon opened. There are 150 slots and five tables at the Golden Crown and one hundred and four slot machine games and sixty eight gaming tables at the Holiday Palace. The latest Holiday Palace Casino and Resort features three hundred slot machine games and seventy tables and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has 166 slot machines and 96 gaming tables, including eighty seven baccarat (the most beloved game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Additionally, there is the Casino Tropicana, with 135 one armed bandits and 66 of the common gaming tables, as well as 1 table of Casino Stud Poker. One more of the 8 gambling dens in Poipet, again in a motel, is the Princess Casino with 166 slot machine games and 97 casino games. The Star Vegas Casino is is located in a comprehensive resort and hotel compound that contains many conveniences on top of the casino, which houses ten thousand sq.ft. of 130 slots and 88 tables.
