Zimbabwe Casinos

The act of living in Zimbabwe is somewhat of a risk at the moment, so you might imagine that there might be little appetite for visiting Zimbabwe’s gambling dens. In fact, it seems to be functioning the other way, with the desperate market circumstances creating a larger ambition to play, to try and discover a fast win, a way out of the difficulty.
For almost all of the citizens subsisting on the meager local wages, there are 2 common forms of betting, the state lottery and Zimbet. As with almost everywhere else in the world, there is a national lotto where the chances of profiting are unbelievably low, but then the jackpots are also unbelievably big. It’s been said by market analysts who understand the situation that the lion’s share do not buy a card with an actual expectation of profiting. Zimbet is founded on one of the domestic or the UK soccer divisions and involves predicting the results of future games.
Zimbabwe’s gambling halls, on the other shoe, pander to the very rich of the state and tourists. Up till a short time ago, there was a very large tourist business, centered on safaris and trips to Victoria Falls. The market collapse and connected violence have cut into this market.
Among Zimbabwe’s casinos, there are two in the capital, Harare, the Carribea Bay Resort and Casino, which has five gaming tables and slots, and the Plumtree gambling den, which has just the slot machines. The Zambesi Valley Hotel and Entertainment Center in Kariba also has just slot machines. Mutare has the Monclair Hotel and Casino and the Leopard Rock Hotel and Casino, both of which offer gaming tables, slots and video poker machines, and Victoria Falls has the Elephant Hills Hotel and Casino and the Makasa Sun Hotel and Casino, each of which offer gaming machines and blackjack, roulette, and craps tables.
In addition to Zimbabwe’s casinos and the aforementioned mentioned lottery and Zimbet (which is considerably like a parimutuel betting system), there is a total of two horse racing tracks in the state: the Matabeleland Turf Club in Bulawayo (the 2nd metropolis) and the Borrowdale Park in Harare.
Seeing as that the market has shrunk by more than 40% in recent years and with the connected deprivation and violence that has cropped up, it isn’t well-known how well the tourist industry which is the backbone of Zimbabwe’s gambling halls will do in the near future. How many of the casinos will carry through until things get better is basically unknown.
